Fourth Graders Publish Writings

Mrs. Williamson's fourth graders wrote about the best gift they ever gave. Here are some of the best paragraphs from her class. (We thank Dezmund Lewis and Justin Darby from Mr. Tisdale's SLHS class for typing these paragraphs.)
The Best Gift I Ever Gave

The best gift I ever gave was an X-Box 360. I gave it to my friend Libby. She loved the gift very much. We went to the movies, ate pizza, and passed out gifts. I also gave her $20 dollars for her eleventh birthday. She spent it on a game for her X-Box 360. She really enjoyed her eleventh birthday!

The Best Gift I Ever Gave

The best gift I ever gave was to Alliah. It was a doll and clothes. It was a Saturday and I was going to Alliah’s birthday party. I put it on the table and then I went to play. When it was time to open the gifts, she opened my gift first. She was so happy. After the party she thanked me for buying her the gifts, I said, “Good-bye,” and went home.

Best Gift

The best gift I ever gave was friendship. I gave it to Shantae in the fourth grade. I will never forget the smile on her face. When I asked her to be my friend, she was happy! We have been friends through a lot of problems because people used to say that she was talking about me behind my back, but I did not believe it. That made us closer. Trust has been an important part of our friendship.

Gifts

The best gift I ever gave to a friend was a Barbie doll. I gave it to Jayasri Mitch. She was my best friend. It was her birthday and she was eight years old. I gave her this present at her birthday party. She was very excited about the gift. She played with it all day long.
