SLE Alumni Welcome
I want to welcome Mecdric who is following this SLE blog. He is now serving our country in the armed services, and he signed up to follow our news. It is always good to hear how our former students are doing, and I hope Mecdric stays safe and does well! (Leave a post and tell us more about your career.)
I encourage all other SLE alumni to follow this blog as well as post comments of what you're doing now.

Exemption Policy Changes
The school board voted at their last meeting to change the exemption policy for this first semester to allow any and all students with an 80 average in a subject to be expempted from taking exams in December in that subject. This is to make allowances for absences due to the flu this fall. Email Mr. Henderson for more information. - JH

Science Project "Impacts" Students
Mrs. Vivians' fifth and sixth graders tested their ideas today as part of their science class. They were to research how to create ways to keep an egg from breaking when dropped from the top of the school. You will see they enlisted the help of Mr. Jenkins to throw the eggs from the top of the school. I will ask Kobe and Eric to write up their report and post it here soon.
