Need Your Input
Summer is approaching half over, and I need to get your input on a few topics. I've posted on Google Docs documents concerning the year's schedule, the master lunch and activity schedule, and school mission work on Google Docs. Please be sure to visit Google.com and open your account so you can look at these items. That is, if you want to have some input on how we will implement them this coming year. Leave a post here or email me. Thanks, JH.

Here are the girls who went on our Jr. Beta trip to Orlando. Here they are standing in from of the pool at the hotel. They are about to attend a general session of the national Jr. Beta convention.
We rode 12 hours up and 12 hour back on Leeways' bus, and the drivers were great. I want to thank Mrs. Barton, Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Weathers, Mrs. Murrell and all the "extra" adults that made this trip a great success for our students!
If you had a good time on the trip, leave a post for others to read.

Jr. Beta Magic
Well, the Jr. Beta students and others will be loading up at midnight tonight to head to the national convention in Orlando! It was been a long year since our decision to take the students to the national convention, but it proves the point that you can make big things happen with a plan, a lot of work, and a little luck.
Wish us luck, and I hope to have pictures for you when we return.

Here is a link to the Ball State University Electronic Field Trips Program. It has some great information about the Buffalo Soldiers: African Americans in the Frontier Army. It looks like a great link for American History and for Black History:

This is not a teacher or student link, but it is a link to some exciting advancements being made in robotics!
Positive Classrooms
Here's a great link to resources for teachers, especially when trying to create a positive classroom.
